Sustainability

We recognise that sustainability is a responsibility that shapes the way we operate, innovate, and contribute to society.

We are committed to producing high quality products, whilst sourcing responsibly, reducing the impact of our operations and providing sustainable packaging.

Australian Made

Akaure products are formulated and manufactured in Queensland, Australia, with ingredients sourced locally and globally from trusted suppliers to ensure quality.

Backed by over 30 years of expertise in herbal and nutritional science—including global herb sourcing, research and development, quality assurance, and manufacturing—we offer a high-quality brand designed for those committed to their health journey.

Responsible Sourcing

Our longstanding relationships with farmers across Australia and globally allow us to source herbs with precision, knowing that climate and conditions are essential for creating quality herbal products.

Trusted Partnerships

We responsibly source raw herbal materials through a network of ethical growers, wild harvesters, and farmers to maintain consistently high standards.

Prioritising sustainable growing practices, we partner with Australian growers in optimal conditions, with our Queensland manufacturing facility.

For specific herbs that require unique environments, we rely on our trusted global suppliers to ensure each plant reaches its optimal phytochemistry through ideal geographic and climatic conditions, combined with expert harvesting techniques.

Protecting Our Endangered and Threatened Plants

We are committed to sustainable practices that actively protect endangered and threatened plants. We do not source herbs from regions or countries where those herbs are deemed as ‘threatened’. Where cultivation is not possible, we work closely with harvesters to optimise wildcrafting and establish sustainable protocols.

Bottles & Containers

Our plastic bottle & containers are recyclable in Australia and New-Zealand in the household recycling bins.  You can check with your Local Council if you are not sure if they will be accepted in your recycling bin.

Our bottle and jars are made in Australia of PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) with an amber tint to protect our product from the natural lights and preserve their efficacy through their shelf life.

We use a plastic seal on our bottle and containers to preserve our products so they are in the perfect condition when they reach you. Unfortunately, the seal is not recyclable, so please dispose of it in your normal waste kitchen bin.
